Starting June 18th, Zoom will begin blocking unregistered SMS/MMS traffic in the US and Canada.
Soft Enforcement Date: June 18th, 2024, at 8 a.m. PT
Who will be blocked from using SMS/MMS: - Customers who create a net-new campaign after this date will be blocked until the campaign is fully approved - Customers who have a Rejected campaign for prohibited use cases or disallowed messaging categories - Customers who use SMS/MMS and have not created/submitted any 10DLC Campaigns
Who will not blocked temporarily: - Customers who have a Pending campaign submitted - Customers with fully Approved campaigns - Customers with a Rejected campaign for reasons other than prohibited /disallowed messaging categories who have not yet resubmitted their campaign
Final Enforcement Date: July 10th, 2024, at 8 a.m. PT
All customers without a fully approved campaign and verified numbers associated to the campaign by this date will be blocked from using SMS and MMS.
To check the registration status of your phone numbers, navigate to the Phone Numbers section of your Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center web portal and review the Messaging Verification Status. Any number that uses SMS/MMS will need to have the status of “Verified” on or before the July 10th deadline in order to continue using SMS/MMS.
Please note that Canada-to-Canada messaging is exempt from these regulations, however this is subject to change in the future.
