The following, new and updated IP subnet range will be deployed to Zoom resources starting no earlier than 30 days from the posting of this notice. We recommend that network administrators, with Zoom specific firewall or network rules, update their systems as soon as possible in preparation.

642 new IP ranges have been added for Zoom’s content delivery network. For a list of all IP ranges added, see: https://assets.zoom.us/docs/ipranges/ZoomCDN-March2023.txt

Additionally, the following 3 IP ranges have been removed from Zoom’s content delivery network:
108.156.119.249
108.156.120.242
108.156.129.247

​​Zoom will also be adding an additional data center as a part of the global Zoom routing network. This site is already in our previously announced IP address ranges. For network administrators with Zoom specific proxy rules, please update your PAC files with the following site.

Zoom will be enforcing a new minimum version of all our Zoom clients and plugins, roughly 90 days from now on May 6th, 2023. This affects the following products:
- Zoom client for meetings (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Intune)
- Zoom Rooms (including Zoom Room Controllers)
- Zoom Phone Appliances
- VDI Client and Plugin
- Virtual Room Connector
- Meetings Connector

Upcoming SX/NX Data Center Consolidation May 31, 2023 23:00 - Jun 1, 2023 00:00 PDT
Zoom is continuously optimizing our global footprint to improve performance and availability for our customers. With this, on 5/31/2023 Zoom will be decommissioning our SX (San Jose) and NX (New Jersey) data centers. Some of our newer data centers in SJC (San Jose) and IAD (Virginia) will become the primary replacements for SX and NX, with many customers already having moved to them.

To ensure that customers are aware of this change, we are sending out this notification, along with some reminders on allow lists for firewalls or other controls that will ensure customers are not impacted in any way by these changes. Customers should not need to do any active changes provided they are following the guidance as provided in this support article: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683. Customers may notice IAD and SJC showing up more predominantly in their reporting and configurations, with SX and NX ultimately being removed. For any questions or concerns, please contact your account team.

What is changing?
Zooms SX and NX data centers are being decommissioned in favor of newer data centers to support improved performance and availability.

What do I, as a customer, need to do?
In most cases nothing and the use of newer data centers such as SJC and IAD will be automatic.

Do I need to update my firewall or other systems to allow communications with these new data centers?
Following the guidelines in this support article (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683) will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers globally. As Zoom scales to meet customer demand and enable future products, platform IP addresses and network ranges will change to accommodate service growth and seasonal load spikes. As these services and ranges frequently evolve, Zoom does not provide specific IP address ranges assigned to geographical locations.

Will this be the only data center change?
As Zoom continuously optimizes our global footprint to improve performance and availability, the addition and removal of data centers is an ongoing process. Following the guidance in this support article (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683) will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers.

Are there other options available to avoid having to allow many IP subnets?
Zoom’s recommendation for secure and consistent access to Zoom services is to enable DNS-based inspection in network firewall and routing infrastructure. This helps provide a seamless collaboration experience both inside and outside your organization across Zoom’s global footprint.

Using DNS-based inspection, as your organization adopts new platform features or as Zoom’s infrastructure changes, additional IP range maintenance and firewall policy support should not be required to on-board these new cloud services using your infrastructure. In addition, Zoom provides optional settings in the Zoom account settings portal to customize data center locations for meeting and webinar data processing and storage locations for certain content data.

Scheduled - Zoom will perform emergency maintenance at our São Paulo data center starting at 3AM BRT (11:00PM Pacific) on March 17th. Zoom Phone users registered to the São Paulo data center will be automatically registered in an alternative datacenter. During the maintenance window, a brief disconnection may be experienced and notifications may be missed. If you get disconnected, the system will attempt to reconnect you automatically.

If you are a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) customer, please ensure that your Session Border Controller (SBC) is configured with alternate routing to Zoom’s Querétaro, Mexico data center in addition to the São Paulo data center. During the maintenance window, connectivity to Zoom’s São Paulo data center will be blocked which will force calls from the Session Border Controller (SBC) to failover to Zoom’s Querétaro, Mexico data center. Traffic will continue to be routed through the Zoom São Paulo data center once the maintenance is completed.

Update - In addition to hardware clients that do not support failover, singly connected BYOC customers will also be impacted.

If you are a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) customer, please ensure that your Session Border Controller (SBC) is configured with alternate routing to the Sao Paulo (SP) and Mexico (QR) data center in addition to the Sao Paulo datacenter (SP).

Connectivity to the Sao Paulo datacenter (SP) is blocked, which will force calls from the Session Border Controller (SBC) to failover to the Mexico (QR) data center.

We will continue to provide updates as we have them.
