In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Jan 10, 2025 - 17:00 PST
Scheduled - Zoom is continuously optimizing our global footprint to improve performance and availability for our customers. With this, starting from Jan 10th, 2024, Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center plans to shift traffic from old data centers to our newer data centers with weekly continuous migration changes.

The Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center team will start to change the sip zone from the old sip zone to the new sip zone in the backend. We are sending out this notification to inform our customers of this change along with some reminders which will assist customers.

We wanted to remind customers for optimal experience, and to avoid any potential issues, to please allow Zoom Traffic to all subnets located on our Zoom Network Firewall page. This includes specific sections for Zoom Phone & Zoom Contact Center.

Customers would see the change in the admin portal of their sites showing the new sip zone after those changes if “Display Custom SIP Zone Options on Web Portal” feature is enabled in Zoom Phone. Customers would not see the sip zone name in Zoom Contact Center thus no portal change for Contact Center customers.

Please note that all hardware phones will automatically reboot when a data center migration is triggered. If you have an ongoing call, it will reboot once the call has ended. Migrations are planned to occur during our weekend off hour change windows to reduce impact.

Here are sip zone name mapping for old data center and new data center in the main global cluster:

FAQ
What is changing? Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center are shifting traffic from the old data centers to the new data centers

When is this planned? Starting from Jan 10th, 2025 and on a weekly basis until all traffic moved over

What do I, as a customer, need to do? If whitelist is done following Zoom network firewall or proxy server settings, nothing need to be done by customer in this step

Do I need to update my firewall or other systems to allow communications with these new data centers? Following the guidelines in Zoom network firewall or proxy server settings will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers globally. As Zoom scales to meet customer demand and enable future products, platform IP addresses and network ranges will change to accommodate service growth and seasonal load spikes. As these services and ranges frequently evolve, Zoom does not provide specific IP address ranges assigned to geographical locations.

Will this be the only change for Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center? As Zoom continuously optimizes our global footprint to improve performance and availability, there will be additional changes like Generic Device, BYOC, BYOP migration and will be communicated separately. Following the guidance in Zoom network firewall or proxy server settings will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers.

Are there other options available to avoid having to allow many IP subnets? Zoom’s recommendation for secure and consistent access to Zoom services is to enable DNS-based inspection in network firewall and routing infrastructure. This helps provide a seamless collaboration experience both inside and outside your organization across Zoom’s global footprint.

Using DNS-based inspection, as your organization adopts new platform features or as Zoom’s infrastructure changes, additional IP range maintenance and firewall policy support should not be required to on-board these new cloud services using your infrastructure. In addition, Zoom provides optional settings in the Zoom account settings portal to customize data center locations for phone and contact center data processing and storage locations for certain content data.

Jan 10, 2025 17:00 - Mar 10, 2025 01:00 PDT
In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Dec 04, 2024 - 15:00 PST
Scheduled - Currently, Japan allows number portability for 0ABJ numbers, but this service is limited exclusively to Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT)-owned numbers. As it stands, only NTT numbers can be ported, while all other 0ABJ numbers remain non-portable. However, there will be significant changes; starting from January 20, 2025, 0ABJ numbers will become portable across all service providers.

To facilitate these upcoming changes and enhance the porting systems, all carriers in Japan will observe an embargo period between December 2024 and January 2025 (the exact duration may vary by operator). Zoom will have operational restrictions from November 30, 2024, to January 19, 2025. This will affect new orders, porting orders, and execution of porting.

New requests for adding numbers in certain cities will not be processed from December 24, 2024, to January 13, 2025. This pause will depend on whether Zoom has an available inventory of preactivated numbers for specific cities. The additional requests that remain unprocessed during the restriction period will be addressed after January 13, 2025.

Porting orders will be suspended during the entire restriction period, and those accepted before November 30, 2024, will have execution restrictions from December 24, 2024, to January 13, 2025.

FAQ
What is changing? Zoom Conference Room Connector (CRC) in multiple Zoom data centers is being decommissioned in favor of newer data centers to support improved performance and availability.

When is this planned? January 20th, 2025

What do I, as a customer, need to do? In most cases nothing and the use of newer data centers such as IAD and SJC will be automatic. Zoom customers using Conference Room Connector (CRC) to connect to Zoom meetings using the old CRC IP addresses for the old data centers listed in this notice must begin using the new CRC IP addresses before the decommissioning date.

Do I need to update my firewall or other systems to allow communications with these new data centers? Following the guidelines in https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0065748 will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers globally. Updated India Toll-FREE Numbers Jan 20, 2025 17:00 - Jan 31, 2025 17:00 PST
Due to a change with our phone carrier, the following India Toll-Free numbers are being decommissioned on January 31, 2025:

+91 XXXX 502340
+91 XXXX 502400
+91 000 XXXX 505050

Please make sure to make any necessary updates in your Admin Portal (https://zoom.us/account/setting?tab=telephony) to ensure availability for use of the remaining India Premium Toll numbers on your account. Only if you are not already using the remaining numbers, currently scheduled meetings for 1/31/2025 and onward may need to be rescheduled so that the updated toll numbers will be reflected in newly scheduled meetings. If meeting invites are not updated to reflect the additional toll numbers, participants dialing in from India will not be able to join using the decommissioned number after 1/31/2025. Any newly created meetings scheduled after you’ve updated the numbers in your portal will be automatically updated with the remaining India Toll-Free number(s) for future invites.

To view your current and new numbers in order to make the above changes, please visit your Admin Portal. There you will be able to find all India Toll-Free numbers that will remain supported.

To improve Zoom CDN service redundancy, Zoom will depreciate d11yldzmag5yn.cloudfront.net CDN endpoint for downloading zoom software releases and instead, cdn.zoom.us CDN endpoint should be used.

If you don't use d11yldzmag5yn.cloudfront.net, we don't expect any impact. If you are currently using d11yldzmag5yn.cloudfront.net to download the software releases, please use the new domain cdn.zoom.us to avoid any disruption.

If you already follow the firewall setting whitelist *.zoom.us, https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0060548 we do not expect any impact to your service. Otherwise, please configure your firewall setting accordingly.

Jan 10, 07:00 PST
Scheduled - Zoom will perform service maintenance at our "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center starting on January 10th at 15:00 GMT. Zoom Contact Center users registered to the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center will be automatically registered in an alternative "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center. During the maintenance window, a brief disconnection may be experienced and notifications may be missed. If you get disconnected, the system will attempt to reconnect you automatically.

If you are a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) customer, please ensure that your Session Border Controller (SBC) is configured with alternate routing to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center in addition to the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center. During the maintenance window, connectivity to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center will be blocked which will force calls from the Session Border Controller (SBC) to failover to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center. Traffic will continue to be routed through the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center once the maintenance is completed.

For Japan time window: 01/10/2025 07:00AM - 11:00AM PST (01/11/2025 12:00 - 4:00 JST)
