We will be updating the Zoom Phone platform to use a Trusted Public Certificate Authority. This change will take affect for users based in Australia region/SIP zone on March 13, 2021.

Zoom Phone admins should ensure that they have updated their public certificates on their devices and carrier if needed. Zoom Phone users must be on Zoom desktop client or Zoom desktop app 5.0.5 or later for full functionality.

Zoom is migrating Conference Room Connector (CRC) to only support Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2+ for increased data security.

TLS 1.1 will be disabled on March 19, 2021 for the US West and all non-US data centers. This change will take effect for US East data centers on March 26, 2021.

This change will impact all SIP/H.323 devices attempting to connect to a meeting that requires device encryption. This will be enforced for all device types: both managed with an API connector or unmanaged by Zoom.

We recommend that network administrators, with Zoom specific firewall or network rules, update their systems as soon as possible in preparation.

Scheduled - Poly Trio Firmware 5.9.4 rev AB is becoming the minimum required version for managed Trio devices. Customers who allow Zoom to manage their firmware do not need to take any action. Customers who are using the Zoom Connector for Poly and override the firmware updates with an AppFilePath configuration will need to update to the latest firmware by May 7, 2021. If Trio devices are not updated, they will reboot once per hour until their firmware is updated.

However, if any meetings started in the Hong Kong data center are still ongoing at 5PM PST on February 26, they will be ended and can be manually restarted in a different data center.
