Scheduled - Starting June 18th, Zoom will begin blocking unregistered SMS/MMS traffic in the US and Canada.

Soft Enforcement Date: June 18th, 2024, at 8 a.m. PT

Who will be blocked from using SMS/MMS:
- Customers who create a net-new campaign after this date will be blocked until the campaign is fully approved
- Customers who have a Rejected campaign for prohibited use cases or disallowed messaging categories
- Customers who use SMS/MMS and have not created/submitted any 10DLC Campaigns

Who will not blocked temporarily:
- Customers who have a Pending campaign submitted
- Customers with fully Approved campaigns
- Customers with a Rejected campaign for reasons other than prohibited /disallowed messaging categories who have not yet resubmitted their campaign


Final Enforcement Date: July 10th, 2024, at 8 a.m. PT

All customers without a fully approved campaign and verified numbers associated to the campaign by this date will be blocked from using SMS and MMS.

To check the registration status of your phone numbers, navigate to the Phone Numbers section of your Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center web portal and review the Messaging Verification Status. Any number that uses SMS/MMS will need to have the status of “Verified” on or before the July 10th deadline in order to continue using SMS/MMS.

Please note that Canada-to-Canada messaging is exempt from these regulations, however this is subject to change in the future.

Scheduled - We will be posting the Poly Trio 8500/8800 firmware 7.2.8 update for devices being used as Zoom Rooms Controllers and configured to use trio.zoom.us provisioning server (as described at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360000894723-Using-a-Polycom-Trio-as-a-Zoom-Room-Controller). Trio 8500s and 8800s being used as Zoom Rooms Controllers configured in the manner described in the article will automatically poll the trio.zoom.us provisioning server once per day at a random time between the hours of 12:00am - 06:00am in their configured timezone. Once they contact the provisioning server, they will refresh their provisioning information and be instructed to download the update, install and reboot. After rebooting, the Trio will be updated to its new software; the Poly Trio 8500/8800 7.2.8 software contains the Zoom Rooms Android Controller 5.14.5 application. The Zoom Rooms Android Controller will retain its configuration and automatically pair to its configured Zoom Room.

Customers impacted: any customer with a Poly Trio 8500 or 8800 being used as a Zoom Rooms Controller that has configured trio.zoom.us as their provisioning server as described in the support article Using a Polycom Trio as a Zoom Room Controller (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360000894723-Using-a-Polycom-Trio-as-a-Zoom-Room-Controller).

Scheduled - Zoom will be performing an internal maintenance to transition to certificates signed by DigiCert Global Root G2 certificate authority on our infrastructure during upcoming maintenance windows below. This will be a permanent change. We will not be able to postpone this change as Global Root G1 certificates are no longer being used and issued by any certificate authorities.

Service maintenance will be performed for Zoom Services to replace the current certificate with a new certificate that is signed by DigiCert Global Root G2 certificate authority per the following maintenance schedule

Customers with older WEB clients might not be able to connect to Zoom WEB services due to the new G2 type certificates.
