In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Dec 04, 2024 - 15:00 PST
Scheduled - Currently, Japan allows number portability for 0ABJ numbers, but this service is limited exclusively to Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT)-owned numbers. As it stands, only NTT numbers can be ported, while all other 0ABJ numbers remain non-portable. However, there will be significant changes; starting from January 20, 2025, 0ABJ numbers will become portable across all service providers.

To facilitate these upcoming changes and enhance the porting systems, all carriers in Japan will observe an embargo period between December 2024 and January 2025 (the exact duration may vary by operator). Zoom will have operational restrictions from November 30, 2024, to January 19, 2025. This will affect new orders, porting orders, and execution of porting.

New requests for adding numbers in certain cities will not be processed from December 24, 2024, to January 13, 2025. This pause will depend on whether Zoom has an available inventory of preactivated numbers for specific cities. The additional requests that remain unprocessed during the restriction period will be addressed after January 13, 2025.

Porting orders will be suspended during the entire restriction period, and those accepted before November 30, 2024, will have execution restrictions from December 24, 2024, to January 13, 2025.

Dec 4, 2024 15:00 - Jan 20, 2025 17:00 PST
In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Nov 22, 2024 - 17:00 PST
Scheduled - Due to a change with our phone carrier, the following two India Premium Toll numbers are being decommissioned:

+91 XXXX 798004
+91 XXXX 798012

Accounts will still have other India Premium Toll available for use.

Please make sure to make any necessary updates in your Admin Portal (https://zoom.us/account/setting?tab=telephony) to ensure availability for use of the remaining India Premium Toll numbers on your account. Only if you are not already using the remaining numbers, currently scheduled meetings for 12/31/2024 and onward may need to be rescheduled so that the updated toll numbers will be reflected in newly scheduled meetings. If meeting invites are not updated to reflect the additional toll numbers, participants dialing in from India will not be able to join using the decommissioned number after 12/31/2024. Any newly created meetings scheduled after you’ve updated the numbers in your portal will be automatically updated with the remaining India Premium Toll number(s) for future invites.

To view your current and new numbers in order to make the above changes, please visit your Admin Portal. There you will be able to find all India Premium Toll numbers that will remain supported.

Upcoming TR/VN Data Center Consolidation Dec 30, 2024 17:00 - Dec 31, 2024 00:00 PST
Zoom is continuously optimizing our global footprint to improve performance and availability for our customers. With this, on December 30th, 2024 Zoom plans to decommission our TR (Toronto, CA) and VN (Vancouver, CA) data centers. Some of our newer data centers in YYZ (Toronto, CA) and YVR (Vancouver, CA) will become the primary replacements for TR and VN, with most customers already utilizing them.

Zoom customers using Conference Room Connector (CRC) to connect to Zoom meetings using Zoom CRC DNS domain names in TR and/or VN will not be affected by this change.

Zoom customers using Conference Room Connector (CRC) to connect to Zoom meetings using the below 2 old CRC IP addresses for the TR and/or VN datacenters must begin using the new CRC IP addresses before the decommissioning date. Please be advised that Zoom meeting invites sent before December 6th, 2024 may list the old TR and VN CRC IP addresses.

Location: Toronto, CA
Old Zoom Datacenter: TR
Old CRC IP address: 69.174.57.160
New Zoom Datacenter: YYZ
New CRC IP address: 159.124.168.213

Location: Vancouver, CA
Old Zoom Datacenter: VN
Old CRC IP address: 65.39.152.160
New Zoom Datacenter: YVR
New CRC IP address: 159.124.196.25

To ensure that customers are aware of this change, we are sending out this notification, along with some reminders on allow lists for firewalls or other controls that will ensure customers are not impacted in any way by these changes. Customers should not need to do any active changes provided they are following the guidance as provided in https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683-Zoom-network-firewall-or-proxy-server-settings. For any questions or concerns, please contact your account team or Zoom Support.

FAQ
What is changing? Zooms TR and VN data centers are being decommissioned in favor of newer data centers to support improved performance and availability.

When is this planned? December 30th, 2024

What do I, as a customer, need to do? In most cases nothing and the use of newer data centers such as YYZ and YVR will be automatic. Zoom customers using Conference Room Connector (CRC) to connect to Zoom meetings using the old CRC IP addresses for the TR and/or VN datacenters must begin using the new CRC IP addresses before the decommissioning date.

Do I need to update my firewall or other systems to allow communications with these new data centers? Following the guidelines in https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683-Zoom-network-firewall-or-proxy-server-settings will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers globally. As Zoom scales to meet customer demand and enable future products, platform IP addresses and network ranges will change to accommodate service growth and seasonal load spikes. As these services and ranges frequently evolve, Zoom does not provide specific IP address ranges assigned to geographical locations.

Will this be the only data center change? As Zoom continuously optimizes our global footprint to improve performance and availability, the addition and removal of data centers is an ongoing process. Following the guidance in https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362683-Zoom-network-firewall-or-proxy-server-settings will help customers connect to the available Zoom data centers.

Are there other options available to avoid having to allow many IP subnets? Zoom’s recommendation for secure and consistent access to Zoom services is to enable DNS-based inspection in network firewall and routing infrastructure. This helps provide a seamless collaboration experience both inside and outside your organization across Zoom’s global footprint.

Using DNS-based inspection, as your organization adopts new platform features or as Zoom’s infrastructure changes, additional IP range maintenance and firewall policy support should not be required to on-board these new cloud services using your infrastructure. In addition, Zoom provides optional settings in the Zoom account settings portal to customize data center locations for meeting and webinar data processing and storage locations for certain content data.

Zoom SSO Certificate Rotation Dec 31, 2024 15:59-16:00 PST
Update - As a reminder, the current Single-Sign-On (SSO) certificate will expire one week from now, on December 31, 2024.

Zoom recommends that customers who do not utilize an IDP that supports dynamic metadata refresh manually update the certificate to the new certificate (Expires on December 21, 2025 UTC) before December 31, 2024.

Please refer to our documentation on this topic, which includes instructions on how to update manually: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0067680.

Dec 24, 2024 - 16:01 PST
Scheduled - Zoom will rotate its Single-Sign-On (SSO) certificates on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

No action is required for customers using an identity provider (IDP) or configuration that supports dynamic metadata refresh, as your IDP will automatically download the latest Zoom certificate and rotate it into your account’s configuration starting Friday, November 22, 2024.

If automatic update is disabled or your IDP does not support automatic certificate rotation, your organization will need to manually rotate the certificate by December 31, 2024. If the certificate has not been rotated by then, your organization will be unable to utilize SSO services until the certificate has been updated.

For more information on rotating the SSO certificate, please see: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0067680.

Note: if the SP Certificate box is not on your SSO configuration page, no action is required to rotate to the new certificate.

Tokyo Zoom Contact Center Maintenance Jan 10, 2025 07:00-11:00 PST
Zoom will perform service maintenance at our "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center starting on January 10th at 15:00 GMT. Zoom Contact Center users registered to the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center will be automatically registered in an alternative "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center. During the maintenance window, a brief disconnection may be experienced and notifications may be missed. If you get disconnected, the system will attempt to reconnect you automatically.

If you are a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) customer, please ensure that your Session Border Controller (SBC) is configured with alternate routing to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center in addition to the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center. During the maintenance window, connectivity to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center will be blocked which will force calls from the Session Border Controller (SBC) to failover to Zoom’s "Asia Pacific (Osaka)" data center. Traffic will continue to be routed through the "Asia Pacific (Tokyo)" data center once the maintenance is completed.

For Japan time window: 01/10/2025 07:00AM - 11:00AM PST (01/11/2025 12:00 - 4:00 JST)

Resolved - From 01:00 12/21 UTC - 01:00 12/22 UTC, Zoom has successfully completed the Zoom Phone maintenance to route additional Zoom Phone & Zoom Contact Center traffic across our new Data Centers (https://status.zoom.us/incidents/1xtdkft6972m). Due to internal monitoring detection and a few customers’ feedback, there are possible misconfigurations in some customers’ firewall side, Zoom has decided to rollback these changes and work directly with customers to confirm all services are working correctly for them.

In order for customers to avoid any potential issues in the future, please allow Zoom Traffic to all subnets located on our Zoom Network Firewall page including signaling and media (https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0060548)
